Also known as the Swiss Open Cultural Data Hackathon, GLAMhack is a yearly event that brings together a broad coalition of cultural heritage institutions, members of the research community, tech-curious creatives, open data advocates and many more. The main goal of the GLAMhack is to build bridges between different actors in the field and encourage collaboration and innovation. Furthermore, as part of Opendata.ch’s organizational mission, the GLAMhack catalyzes the opening up of cultural heritage data, enabling equal access, and the reuse of high quality data for research and innovation. This year, the GLAMhack will be hosted by the Stiftung für Kunst, Kultur und Geschichte (SKKG) held at their Winterthur campus under the theme "Hack the Gap - Bridging Analog and Digital Worlds". During the two days of the Hackathon, participants will develop innovative prototypes which explore how cultural heritage can move fluidly between the physical and digital realms - ensuring broader access, deeper understanding, and more inclusive participation.
