A new immersive audio experience at Zurich's Botanical Garden—'A journey into the living knowledge of the forest'—will be introduced through a public conversation between the collaborators, woven with fragments of the audio experience, during Lange Nacht der Museen on Saturday 5 September, 2026, in Zurich, Switzerland. Collaborators include: Indigenomics Lab led by Rodrigo Cámara Leret, Prof. Dr. Sofia Victoria Angel Ruiz and Armando Nacimiento from the community of San Martín de Amacayacu. Antoine Bertin and Cristina Tarquini, artists Moderated by Helen Morgan, writer and producer Location: Arena by the pond. Botanical Garden UZH. In case of bad weather guests will be guided over to the Auditorium, Raum P1-40) Language: English-Spanish No registration required. This will be the first public encounter with the collaborators before the experience opens to the public between September 6-13, from 17:00-19:00 each day. * More about the experience: 'A journey into the living knowledge of the forest' begins with a seed and unfolds as a sensorial journey through the greenhouses of Zurich's Botanical Garden, exploring the dialogue between Indigenous and scientific ways of knowing the forest. Developed through an ongoing collaboration between the Cámara Leret research group at the University of Zurich, Indigenous communities of the Amazon—Armando Nacimiento and Victoria Angel Ruiz of the Tikuna people from San Martín de Amacayacu—and artists Antoine Bertin and Cristina Tarquini, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on what it means to know a forest—and what is lost when this knowledge disappears. 'A journey into the living knowledge of the forest' is supported by the Agora grant of the Swiss National Science Foundation.
