7. Wiener Produktionstechnik Kongress (WPK2026)
The 7th Wiener Produktionstechnik Kongress (WPK2026) is a two-day production engineering conference hosted by TU Wien's Institute of Production Engineering and Photonic Technologies (IFT) in the Kuppelsaal at Karlsplatz. Under the theme "From Data-Driven Production to Autonomous Manufacturing Systems", it covers manufacturing concepts, AI-supported data-based optimisation and process innovations towards highly automated and autonomous machines, as well as the human-centred redesign of factory work. Speakers from industry and academia, including Siemens, Bosch, DMG Mori, BMW Group, Boeing, FILL, TU Munich, TU Darmstadt and KU Leuven, present talks on AI in the factory, physical AI, software-defined automation, agentic systems in manufacturing, real-time quality monitoring, quantum computing in manufacturing and additive manufacturing. The congress runs on 7 and 8 October 2026. A come-together at TUtheSky on 6 October comes before it, and a gala dinner takes place at the Wiener Rathauskeller on 7 October. Tickets for both days cost from EUR 150 (students) to EUR 900 (regular ticket with the gala dinner), and registration runs through the congress website.
