Works in Progress is a monthly evening for designers and creative professionals who want to see how new tools and technologies are actually changing the way creative work gets made. Most design events celebrate the finished result. This one opens up what happens before that. Not finished projects, not polished case studies. Speakers open their laptops, show their live workflows, processes and tool stacks, and share what changed in their process, including what broke along the way. Thank you to our event location partner, Design Zentrum Hamburg, for supporting this event. ✨ Program 18:30 — Doors open 19:00 — Welcome and intro 19:15 — Tool Pulse What's new and worth knowing in creative tools 19:30 — WIP Show & Tell from our speakers, each sharing a real project or workflow currently in their practice. 20:30 — Open Groups Moderated small group conversations. Bring your questions, your current work, your curiosity. 21:30 — Drinks and open end 🧑💻 Speakers Speakers #1.1 — Fenja Vespermann believes generic models produce generic brands. Self employed since 19, with campaign work for Nike, Vogue and Highsnobiety behind her, she co-founded mimikry.ai to build the opposite: models trained on one brand's own narrative, so scale stops costing distinctiveness. Speakers #1.2 — Noel Lent spent years in high precision 3D for Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Kia, where a wrong reflection is a defect. As Co-Founder and CTO of mimikry.ai he combines that craft with GPU computing and AI engineering to build bespoke content pipelines that integrate into client's own infrastructure. Guest Speaker 02 (to be announced) 🎤 Be a Speaker at our Next Event We’re always looking for voices from Hamburg’s creative community. You don’t need a polished talk or years of stage experience, if you’re experimenting with technology in your creative workflow, we’d love to hear about it. Not sure if your idea is “big enough”? It probably is. Reach out and we’ll figure it out together. 👏 Drop us a line at hamburg.designers@gmail.com, whether it’s about your own work or someone you’d like to recommend. 🤝 Code of Conduct Everyone’s welcome here. All skill levels, all backgrounds, regardless of gender, origin, or who you love. We’re here to connect, learn, and share ideas, so leave your ego at the door. No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or any other kind of discrimination. No harassment. No Nazis. If someone makes you uncomfortable, talk to one of the organizers. We’ve got your back. 📝 A note on this format This event is still in prototype mode. We're building something monthly, but we're doing it openly. Experimenting with what works, what doesn't, and letting the community shape what it becomes. No bullshit. High value. If you have thoughts, bring them on the night or reply to our questionnaire after. Stay in the loop Follow us on LinkedIn and subscribe to our Luma calendar for upcoming events.
