After a long break, the Joomla! World Conference is back, bringing the international Joomla community together at the Kongresshotel Potsdam on Lake Templin, ten minutes from Potsdam's centre and about half an hour from Berlin. The EMBO Workshop Chemical Biology 2026 runs at the EMBL Advanced Training Centre in Heidelberg and in parallel online, and bills itself as the largest and longest-standing conference in its field. Five session tracks cover big data, AI and design; chemical technologies to probe biology; chemical technologies to manipulate biology; chemical synthetic biology; and the RNA world — spanning tool development through to new drug modalities and computational protein design. Keynotes come from Michelle Arkin and William DeGrado (UC San Francisco) and Paola Picotti (ETH Zurich), with speakers drawn from academia and industry across Europe, the US and Asia. Oxidize is the conference for companies and developers using Rust professionally, held at Tagungswerk in Berlin across three days: one workshop day followed by two days of talks. MCTTP – Munich Cyber Tactics, Techniques and Procedures – takes place 16-18 September 2026 at DIE MACHEREI in Munich. The first day is dedicated to full-day, deep-dive security trainings held in small groups, followed by a two-day conference on 17-18 September. The program runs two tracks: an Offensive Track with technically advanced, practice-related talks on current attack methods and efficient defense ideas, and a Corporate Defense Track covering crisis prevention strategies, negotiations with perpetrators, criminal prosecution, and data protection in the event of a crisis. Organisiert wird sie von Freiwilligen aus den Java User Groups Bremen, Ostfalen, Darmstadt, Deutschland und Paderborn sowie der SUG Deutschland; die Ticketpreise werden bewusst niedrig gehalten, damit die Teilnahme jedem möglich ist. Der Tag beginnt um 8:00 Uhr mit dem Einlass, um 9:00 Uhr folgt die Eröffnungskeynote, von 10:00 bis 16:00 Uhr laufen stündlich mehrere Vorträge parallel, um 17:00 Uhr schließt die Abschlusskeynote die Konferenz, und ab 18:00 Uhr ist voraussichtlich ein Social Event geplant. Cloud Native Münster is a free, volunteer-run community meetup that brings developers, platform engineers, SREs and cloud-native newcomers from the Münsterland region together around the CNCF ecosystem: Kubernetes and orchestration, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Pulumi or Crossplane, platform engineering and internal developer platforms, CNCF projects such as Prometheus, Envoy, ArgoCD and Cilium, and observability, security and reliability in distributed systems. The September 2026 edition is the group's fourth meeting; it launched in March 2026 and has since met roughly every two months, each time hosted by codecentric AG in Münster. The organisers ran a call for speakers through Sessionize from 20 July to 15 August 2026, so at the time of writing the two talks of the evening had not yet been announced. Their provisional agenda is 18:00 doors and networking, 18:30 first talk, 19:10 break, 19:20 second talk and 20:00 open networking; food and drinks are provided for all attendees and talks are held in German and/or English. Binding registration is requested in advance so the organisers can plan catering. The group is part of the CNCF Open Community Groups programme, follows the CNCF Code of Conduct, and is sponsored by codecentric and Rosenxt.
SAP Inside Track Weinheim (#sitWHM) is a free, one-day community conference that brings together SAP developers, consultants, architects and anyone curious about the SAP ecosystem for technical deep-dives, live demos and honest lessons learned from the field, run by volunteers with no sales pitches. The 2026 edition runs 09:00-18:00 on Saturday 19 September in the Syntax Auditorium in Weinheim an der Bergstraße, with a single track covering local-first development with CAP Node.js, platform engineering on SAP BTP, CAP best practices and AI, bringing SAP AI and Microsoft AI together, a CAP app vs. Integration Suite comparison, GitHub and Cloud Integration, AI-assisted SAP development with MCP, and a closing talk on the long arc of enterprise engineering. Speakers include DJ Adams, Christian Lechner, Daniel Hutzel, Sebastian van Syckel and Morten Wittrock of SAP, Holger Bruchelt of Microsoft, Cedric Heisel of CIT Focus, independent consultant Marian Zeis, and Matthias Steiner of Syntax. Attendance is free and capped at 150 people, with lunch, coffee breaks and drinks covered by sponsors; the venue is wheelchair accessible and offers free on-site parking, five minutes' walk from Weinheim train station. A Friday programme precedes the conference: a hands-on SAP CodeJam on CAP CDS led by DJ Adams (18 September, 9:00-16:00, 25 seats, separate signup) and a casual pre-evening get-together from 19:00 at Woinheimer Brauerei. The event is onsite only - no recordings and no livestream.
