The Crypto Valley Association Cybersecurity Working Group invites custody, operations, compliance and security professionals to an in-person session on open standards for settlement between institutions. Following our recent session on shared custody standards, we turn to everything around a transaction: exchanging and verifying deposit addresses, sharing Travel Rule data, and confirming the beneficiary before funds move. Today each still needs a bilateral setup per counterparty, adding operational load and attack surface such as address substitution. Felix Laufenberg, Open Network Lead at Fireblocks, will present the Open Transaction Layer (OTL), an open, permissionless set of standards built on cryptographic primitives for identifying counterparties, attributing wallets and coordinating transactions before settlement, across the industry rather than within single provider networks. He'll cover the underlying technology, implementation and standardisation status, and future use cases.
