OPTIMISING LIQUIDITY MANAGEMENT For many Bitcoin holders, BTC represents a significant long-term asset position, yet it is rarely put to work. While holders may maintain Bitcoin for long-term exposure, the position itself may otherwise remain unused. A growing range of financial tools can provide additional ways to manage such positions. Your Bitcoin may, depending on the relevant solution, be used as collateral for credit, deployed in strategies seeking to generate potential returns, or managed through derivatives for hedging or other investment purposes, without necessarily selling the underlying Bitcoin position. These are tools used by professional and institutional market participants and will be explored during the event in the context of Bitcoin liquidity management. The key is knowing how to use them well. What does borrowing really cost? Where does a yield actually come from? What are the risks around counterparties and custody? This evening brings together three Sygnum desks to explore these questions in practical terms, and to explore different ways in which a Bitcoin position may be used for liquidity, yield and risk-management purposes. 💡 WHAT YOU’LL TAKE AWAY 💰 How lending against Bitcoin works: how Bitcoin may be used as collateral to access liquidity without necessarily selling the underlying position, and understand what it actually costs. 📈 Where potential returns come from: how managed strategies seek to generate returns, and the risks associated with different approaches and how to distinguish sustainable returns from an attractive pitch. 🔄 How derivatives can be used: to access liquidity, hedge a position or express a market view, together with the associated risks. 🛡️ What makes a strategy sound: the key questions around custody, counterparty risk, and structure. 🎯 How these tools may be considered within a broader portfolio context and where they may not be appropriate. 🎙️ THE PANEL Benedikt Kodel, Head of Credit & Lending Markus Haemmerli, Asset Management Csaba Sinka, Head of Derivatives Moderated by Joshua Devine. An open, educational discussion, followed by an apéro.
