(UN)BECOMING / Premiere of a feminist short film
When
Wednesday, 29 July 2026
19:00–22:00
For the premiere of (Un)Becoming, the Nüesch sisters are hosting a public evening at Claw Collective in Zurich, consisting of a film screening, exchange and a subsequent apéro. Doors: 19:00 | Screening: 20:00 About the film The idea that progress in women's rights is irreversible is increasingly being called into question by today's political reality. Around the world, we are witnessing growing resistance to women's self-determination — from reproductive rights to freedom of speech to social participation. In this context, it becomes all the more important to create spaces for female perspectives. (Un)Becoming is a feminist short film by the Nüesch Sisters that explores what it means to be a woman today through striking visual metaphors and a performative slam poetry narrative. Moving between vulnerability and resistance, the film navigates themes of societal pressure, structural inequality, female rage, and the ongoing attacks on womanhood. (Un)Becoming was not only conceived by women but also realized by an almost entirely female team, and stars Carla Juri (Blade Runner 2049, Wetlands) in the lead role.
