vulnz.ch vulnz.ch is a technical gathering where Zurich-based software and AI defenders and hackers share mitigations they've built, bugs they've found, research they've done, projects they've worked on or tinkered with, and papers they've read. v0.6 The sixth edition will feature a presentation by visiting speaker Ionuț Cernica (LinkedIn): “Objects That Never Existed: A Reconstruction Failure Class in LLM Pipelines”. The presentation will examine a failure class distinct from prompt injection, in which frontier LLMs reconstruct structured data as containing more objects than are actually present. It will cover experiments across four models (including a configuration that produced zero correct outputs in 400 runs) demonstrations in production systems, and why current defences fail to detect the problem. Attendance The event is for anyone hunting bugs or building software and AI defences. This list isn't exhaustive, but please join us if you work in or have hobby projects related to: Application Security Software Security AI Security Agentic Security Penetration Testing DevSecOps Vulnerability Research Reverse Engineering Bug Bounty Hunting. Logistics The sixth edition of vulnz.ch will take place on Monday, September 21st. Doors open at 18:00, the presentation begins at 18:15, and the evening wraps up with an open discussion. HeadsQuarter The Historic, an upscale coworking space in the heart of Zurich, is proudly hosting the event.
