Eclipse SDV Hackathon Chapter Four is the fourth edition of the Eclipse Foundation's hackathon on open-source software for software-defined vehicles. It runs 6–8 October 2026 at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen, with ZF as host. Participants choose one of two tracks. The Hackathon Challenge track offers two challenges: "Doctor Whodunit!!" covers fault injection and safety evidence for an EV battery thermal warning service, and "Hack to the Future" moves a child-presence-detection feature between simulated endpoints, embedded controllers and real cars. The Freestyle track is for developing features and integrations in Eclipse SDV projects. Teams have up to five members, and meals are provided. The event is free of charge, but registration takes a card payment that is refunded at check-in.
