Datenspuren is the annual hacker meeting of the Chaos Computer Club Dresden (C3D2), a local chapter of the CCC. The 2026 edition is the 23rd. It runs from 18 to 20 September at Zentralwerk in Dresden under the motto "aufbrechen", which means breaking open boxes and systems and setting out into new worlds. Admission is free. The programme has talks, workshops, music and art, and visitors are invited to bring their own contributions. The schedule is grouped into tracks on technology, society, AI, art, meetups, entertainment and Zeitenwende, plus a JungHackende track with activities for children. Sessions cover open-source security in the age of LLMs, IMSI catchers and hardware hacking, reproducible builds, soldering workshops and chat control. The event site lists an online stream via media.ccc.de. Visitors can pay with cash, Bitcoin or GNU Taler, and the event has a code of conduct and an awareness team.

SAP Inside Track Weinheim (#sitWHM) is a free, one-day community conference that brings together SAP developers, consultants, architects and anyone curious about the SAP ecosystem for technical deep-dives, live demos and honest lessons learned from the field, run by volunteers with no sales pitches. The 2026 edition runs 09:00-18:00 on Saturday 19 September in the Syntax Auditorium in Weinheim an der Bergstraße, with a single track covering local-first development with CAP Node.js, platform engineering on SAP BTP, CAP best practices and AI, bringing SAP AI and Microsoft AI together, a CAP app vs. Integration Suite comparison, GitHub and Cloud Integration, AI-assisted SAP development with MCP, and a closing talk on the long arc of enterprise engineering. Speakers include DJ Adams, Christian Lechner, Daniel Hutzel, Sebastian van Syckel and Morten Wittrock of SAP, Holger Bruchelt of Microsoft, Cedric Heisel of CIT Focus, independent consultant Marian Zeis, and Matthias Steiner of Syntax. Attendance is free and capped at 150 people, with lunch, coffee breaks and drinks covered by sponsors; the venue is wheelchair accessible and offers free on-site parking, five minutes' walk from Weinheim train station. A Friday programme precedes the conference: a hands-on SAP CodeJam on CAP CDS led by DJ Adams (18 September, 9:00-16:00, 25 seats, separate signup) and a casual pre-evening get-together from 19:00 at Woinheimer Brauerei. The event is onsite only - no recordings and no livestream.
