Modul DDD is a three-day Domain-driven Design training held in person at the entwickler Hub, a coworking space in a renovated former dairy in Berlin, and led by trainer Matthias Bohlen. The course presents DDD as a way to make software a precise and transformable representation of a business domain, beginning with the domain model and Ubiquitous Language and the tactical building blocks: entities, value objects, aggregates, services, domain events, factories and repositories. It then works from model to code and on into application architecture, covering hexagonal architecture, layered architecture and CQRS, alongside knowledge-crunching techniques such as interviews, event storming and collaborative modelling with domain experts. The closing strand is strategic design, separating models through bounded contexts and subdomains, distinguishing core from supporting and generic domains, and context mapping with shared kernels, anticorruption layers and domain events as an integration pattern. It is aimed at software architects, developers and teams who want to tie business knowledge to architecture; general software development experience is enough, and neither UML nor any specific technology is required. Attendance is capped at 12 people, each day runs from 9:00 to 17:00 with catering and a get-together on the first evening, and the module is iSAQB-accredited for 30 CPSA-A credit points, 20 methodical and 10 communication.

Our 10th anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the journey from containers and Kubernetes to platform engineering, cloud-native architectures, and now AI-native applications - and to discuss what the
SAP Inside Track Weinheim (#sitWHM) is a free, one-day community conference that brings together SAP developers, consultants, architects and anyone curious about the SAP ecosystem for technical deep-dives, live demos and honest lessons learned from the field, run by volunteers with no sales pitches. The 2026 edition runs 09:00-18:00 on Saturday 19 September in the Syntax Auditorium in Weinheim an der Bergstraße, with a single track covering local-first development with CAP Node.js, platform engineering on SAP BTP, CAP best practices and AI, bringing SAP AI and Microsoft AI together, a CAP app vs. Integration Suite comparison, GitHub and Cloud Integration, AI-assisted SAP development with MCP, and a closing talk on the long arc of enterprise engineering. Speakers include DJ Adams, Christian Lechner, Daniel Hutzel, Sebastian van Syckel and Morten Wittrock of SAP, Holger Bruchelt of Microsoft, Cedric Heisel of CIT Focus, independent consultant Marian Zeis, and Matthias Steiner of Syntax. Attendance is free and capped at 150 people, with lunch, coffee breaks and drinks covered by sponsors; the venue is wheelchair accessible and offers free on-site parking, five minutes' walk from Weinheim train station. A Friday programme precedes the conference: a hands-on SAP CodeJam on CAP CDS led by DJ Adams (18 September, 9:00-16:00, 25 seats, separate signup) and a casual pre-evening get-together from 19:00 at Woinheimer Brauerei. The event is onsite only - no recordings and no livestream.
Hacksaar/TKS e.V. and the AStA of HTW Saar invite the community to the second Mega-Knowledgecamp, held from 25 to 27 September 2026 on the HTW Saar campus in Alt-Saarbrücken under the motto "Mega-Knowledgecamp 2: Elektrisch Boogaloo – jetzt erst recht!". Two and a half days bring a colourful talk programme put together by the attendees themselves, workshops out of the community, a bar running around the clock and an evening programme of games and entertainment, meant to carry Chaos-scene atmosphere to Saarbrücken and encourage interdisciplinary exchange. The Call for Participation is deliberately open to anyone, from first-semester students to professors, and accepts talks of roughly 20 to 60 minutes, five-minute lightning talks and workshops, as well as art and culture contributions such as readings, performances or DJ sets; submissions close on 4 September 2026. The camp takes place in the Zentralgebäude (Gebäude 10) of the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft des Saarlandes at Goebenstraße 40. Doors open at 18:30 on the Friday, the programme starts at 21:00, and the event ends at 16:00 on the Sunday. A standard ticket is 25 euros and covers the running costs, pay-what-you-want solidarity tickets are available, HTW Saar students pay 5 euros and students from other universities 10 euros, with breakfast included.
