DIDAYS 2026
DIDAYS 2026 is the first Digital Independence Days in Hamburg, put on by CCC Hansestadt Hamburg e.V. and the Wau Holland Stiftung together with Hamburg neighbourhood initiatives, maker and hacker spaces and other civil-society organisations from the region. Over the weekend of 2 to 4 October the programme covers digital independence in practical terms: better messengers, better office software, and running your own cloud instead of depending on Big Tech. The main hall is used for short, punchy introductory talks, alongside workshops and stands where participating groups present themselves and their topics. Beyond the practical "how", the organisers also want to discuss social and political questions such as the influence of artificial intelligence and the digitalisation of Hamburg's city and administration. Everything runs from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon at the Kultur Palast Harburg (the former Rieckhof), and the programme is deliberately pitched at people who drop in more or less spontaneously for a few hours to have a look. Admission is free.
