Catch the last fleeting moments of summer with us while enjoying a hike to Brecherspitz (1683 m) - a classic Bavarian Alps peak standing between Schliersee and Spitzingsee. 📍 Meeting Point: Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), at the start of the platform for RB55 (77359) to Bayrischzell. 🗓️ When: Saturday, 19 September, at 8:15 AM (train departs at 8:29 AM). 👤 Host: Alexander 🥾 Elevation gain: 870m; hiking time: 5-6h The hike is challenging and involves steep and exposed sections so only join if you are an experienced mountain hiker and sure-footed! Plan: We'll meet at Munich central station at 8:15 am and take the regional train RB55 (77359) in the direction of Bayrischzell . Exact meeting point: beginning of the platform of the train towards Bayrischzell - don't be late. We will get off the train at Fischhausen-Neuhaus at 9:38am and start the hike to Brecherspitz After reaching the summit, we will return to Fischhausen-Neuhaus and take a train back to Munich (optionally, we can have late lunch/dinner in Neuhaus) Restaurants on the trail are closed on the day of the hike, so make sure to take enough food The trail is quite steep and exposed, so sure-footedness is an absolute must Prerequisites & What to bring Fitness & gear: you need good fitness, sure-footedness for steep/rocky trails, and sturdy hiking boots with ankle support. Note that some sections are exposed! Water & snacks: bring enough food and don't count on a lunch break till the end of the hike **Cash/card: **if you plan to go to a restaurant in Fischhausen-Neuhaus on the way back Disclaimer: Please also note that this is not a professionally organized tour.
