IT & KI Forum Ortenau - Herausforderungen und Best Practices für KI in der Fertigung
The IT & KI Forum Ortenau is a recurring forum on IT and AI from Hochschule Offenburg, microTEC Südwest, Black Forest Innovation and the Gesellschaft für Informatik Südbaden; this edition is organised together with bwcon and BadenCampus. Its theme is challenges and best practices for AI in manufacturing, and it takes place at Bechtle's IT-Systemhaus in Freiburg-Hochdorf on 23 September 2026 from 16:00 to 19:00. The forum brings IT and industry professionals together with students of IT, AI and engineering. After a welcome from Bechtle Freiburg and the organisers, Fabio Denis Pereira of NOVAZOON asks why many AI initiatives fail to deliver impact and what it takes to make them work. Silvia Beinling of Karl Storz and Matthias Gelsok of Getinge share a slot on process mining, covering what it is, where it is used and what makes it succeed, and where AI is heading. Jürgen Jähnert, managing director of bwcon, speaks on implementation strategies that draw on public funding and startups. Discussion and networking follow from 18:00. Participation is free; registration is on Hochschule Offenburg's event page.
