Three-day cloud native conference in Hamburg, September 2-4, 2026, at Schuppen 52 and aboard the MS Bleichen. Over 120 sessions on four stages covering Kubernetes, platform engineering, security, observability and AI infrastructure, with 100+ international speakers including Kelsey Hightower.

Signals Berlin 2026 — Reliability in the Age of AI. A curated single-track, 250-seat conference for SRE, platform, DevOps and MLOps engineers, with practitioner talks on what actually breaks in production. Speakers from Honeycomb, Anthropic, Bloomberg, Zalando and Booking.com. 10–11 September at Kulturbrauerei Berlin.

Xen Summit is the annual gathering of the Xen Project community, and the 2026 edition runs for three days at the HEADS office in Aschheim, just east of Munich, hosted by Renesas. Two days of technical talks are followed by a third day given over entirely to design sessions, which are working sessions where contributors settle architecture, implementation plans and project direction face to face rather than sit through presentations. The published programme leans heavily on embedded and automotive virtualization, with talks on Xen on Renesas R-Car Gen5 silicon, mixed-criticality workloads, thermal management and the path toward safety certification, alongside a cloud and infrastructure track covering XCP-ng, XenServer nested virtualization and per-guest resource management. Other sessions cover Xen on RISC-V, Arm VHE-always hardware, formal methods, secure inter-domain communication over Argo, and compliance work against DO-178C and IEC 62443. The audience is Xen developers and maintainers, embedded and automotive engineers, cloud and infrastructure practitioners, researchers and students. The summit is hybrid, with standard in-person registration at $200 and a $20 rate for academics and for virtual attendance, plus a community social dinner on the evening of 16 September.

Full-day software testing conference under the motto "Souverän digital – getestet sicher!". Talks cover digital sovereignty in software test: European and open-source alternatives to proprietary tooling, privacy-by-design and governance anchored in test strategy, openDesk as a Microsoft 365 alternative, and building independent self-hosted infrastructure.

Two-day technical engineering conference at the Fischauktionshalle in Hamburg. Deep dives into real-world system architecture and operations: agentic AI, feature stores, microservices, real-time analytics, service mesh, observability, incident management and open source. Community-run with an explicit "zero buzzword" no-vendor-pitch policy.

AWS Community Day DACH is a one-day, community-run AWS conference organised by Förderverein AWS Community DACH e.V., the association behind the AWS User Group leaders, AWS Heroes and AWS Community Builders in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It has run since 2017 and the organisers bill it as the number-one community-led AWS event in the DACH region; the 2026 edition takes place at Kosmos Berlin and runs from 8:00 to 18:00. Recent editions have run around 28 expert talks selected from more than 200 submissions, and the day mixes conference sessions with workshops and hands-on labs. Subjects range from serverless architecture to AI-driven analytics, delivered by speakers from the community, with breaks and discussion time built in between sessions. It is aimed at developers, architects and cloud leaders, and draws over 500 attendees from more than 30 AWS user groups across the three countries. Registration runs through the organisers' own Tito page.

AI in recruitment is as buzzing as ever: Is it delivering candidates faster, or automatically discarding them based on technical glitches? And how do we curb the negative issues while still delivering useful products? The EU AI Act brings these questions back on the table. While its delay has certainly brought some relief to product and compliance teams, issues of fairness, autonomy, and general p

Join Merantix Momentum, ClickHouse & Langfuse at the Merantix AI Campus in Berlin for an evening exploring what it actually takes to build, observe and scale agentic AI systems in production. Works in Progress is a monthly evening for designers and creative professionals who want to see how new tools and technologies are actually changing the way creative work gets made. Most design events celebrate the finished result. This one opens up what happens before that. Not finished projects, not polished case studies. Speakers open their laptops, show their live workflows, processes and tool

When machines decide faster than humans can watch, does the right to a human decision still make sense, or has it become a cumbersome formality rather than an actual safeguard? Article 22 GDPR and the EU AI Act guarantee forms of human involvement in high-stakes automated decisions. Yet agentic AI increasingly operates at speeds and levels of autonomy that make meaningful human oversight difficult
"We do not share the code, but all information is in the paper anyway." How often have you been told this bizarre sentence or read it somewhere? Times change and with a solid collection of literature, a few Rust crates covering the core aspects of a subject and of cause come patience, tools like Claude are opening really interesting new avenues. My personal "first case study": I threw a paper ab

What Does It Take to Fix Primary Care? Primary care is broken in remarkably similar ways across very different health systems, and most of the fixes on the table stay stuck at the level of point solutions and pilot purgatory. In this edition of the Digital Health Cocktail Hour we the bigger question directly: what would it actually take to fix primary care, globally, and why are the tools already

SWARC4AI is a three-day iSAQB Advanced Level training on designing software architectures for AI systems, held in person at the entwickler Hub coworking space in Berlin from 9:00 to 17:00 each day. Trainer Jan-Torben Evers covers how AI components differ from classical software and how to integrate machine learning and generative AI into existing systems as hybrid solutions that stay scalable, secure and explainable. The agenda runs through compliance and security topics including the EU AI Act, data protection, adversarial attacks and data poisoning; design patterns for AI systems and their integration into existing architectures; data pipelines and data engineering tooling; and operational quality attributes such as monitoring, resource efficiency and MLOps. A dedicated block deals with system architectures for generative AI, including LLM tooling patterns and retrieval-augmented generation. Theory alternates with hands-on exercises and case studies that apply the concepts to realistic project scenarios. Participants are expected to arrive with a working grounding in machine learning, data processing and software architecture, and the module counts for 10 methodical and 20 technical iSAQB credit points.
